Current Show:

We will soon be casting for our upcoming shows. Audition dates and times are listed below. If you are intersted in being a part of things, give us a call or email, and watch this page.

The Caledonia Community Players couldn't exist without the efforts of a lot of folks, onstage and off. You can get involved in many ways with the group. You can audition for shows -- see the audition notices below for times and requirements for upcoming shows -- or you can volunteer for various jobs backstage. If you're interested in participating in any of these important jobs, give us a call at 891-8117.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON AUDITIONS:
be prepared to write down your clothing sizes
make sure you have examined the rehearsal schedule and noted ALL conflicts

NOTE: To audition for any CCP show, chiildren under the age of 16 MUST
be accompanied by a parent and have the consent form filled out and signed.

Audition notes:
You don't need to prepare any material for the audition. We'll be reading parts from the script for the show.

Read the rehearsal schedule and be ready to indicate all potential conflicts. This is critical. If you are cast in the show, you will be expected to be at all rehearsals unless you have indicated otherwise at auditions. CHECK YOUR SCHEDULE BEFORE COMING TO AUDITIONS!

Dress comfortably. Auditions can be a nervous time for people. Might as well be as comfortable as possible

Parents of children under the age of 16 must be present for their child to be considered for a part. You will be expected to complete and sign the audition form for your child.

Please come at the beginning of the audition time so you hear announcements and have a chance to fill out the audition form. You may print out and fill out the form before coming to auditions.

Backstage
Set crews

Each show has different requirements for stage hands and set crews. Most of them require at least a stage manager and some folks to help construct and paint the various set pieces. Others require stage hands to move set pieces, set props, and raise and lower drops.

Makeup crews

Our makeup director creates the makeup design and hairstyles for each show and then manages the makeup crew for each performance. Our cast is expected to do their own basic stage makeup (don't worry, we'll teach you how) but more elaborate makeup effects are done by various makeup artists (depending on the show). If you'd like to be part of the makeup crew, let us know.

Costumes

Our Costume Designer for CCP works with the director to design the look of the show--the colors, the styles, and so on--and then finds or makes the required costumes. [ Gallery of costumes ]
