This is the second of our children's shows. The tale takes you into the magical world of the Arabian Nights, where a noble street urchin discovers a magic lamp with a genie inside.
This
is a section of the director's notebook, showing the intricate blocking
required for the opening chase scene. All of this gets adjusted and changed
somewhat as the sets and costumes are created and included in the scene,
but the basic structure of the action follows this plan. For just the first
few moment of the show, there are four pages of these kind of detailed
blocking notes.
